We plan to cross the Simpson in 2023 – do you want to join us and do something worthwhile along the way or perhaps join our members working around Dalhousie.

Friends of the Simpson Desert have been actively involved in both the Desert and around Dalhousie Springs for over 35 years.

In late May/June 2023 (departure date yet to be confirmed) we plan to cross the desert leaving from Birdsville and are looking for new members to join us on this iconic trip culminating in meeting other members at Dalhousie Springs.

To assist in planning we are holding a “campout” in the Coorong National Park in South Australia in late April 2022.

This campout is a social gathering for our members, and we are extending an invitation to anyone who may be interested in finding out more about what FOS does in its work in the Simpson with a view of joining us on our working bee in 2023.
